The World War II Memorial in D.C. was one of the sites which was not here when we lived here.  We finally got to see it today but were not so lucky with the Martin Luther King, Jr. and the FDR Memorials.  The parking was impossible, but we were happy we got to see what we did.

The Air Force Memorial was another new vision for us.  It is a powerful piece of art next to the Pentagon.

Old friends from my Robert E. Lee High School teaching days are Larry and Sandi H.
We had a wonderful dinner at Bistro L'Hermitage in Woodbridge, VA.  We had lots of catching up to do and lots of fun doing it.

  1. Those memorials are on my bucket list -- glad you at least got nearby. Parking seems to be a pain absolutely everywhere. Maybe next time?
