12-18-18

On our way to San Antonio's Pearl District we passed a purple running path.  It probably makes jogging a little more special.

Our first stop was the San Antonio Art Museum.  We didn't tour it inside but enjoyed some of the art they had on the grounds.

There were colorful murals on the walls of the highway underpasses.

The Pearl District is a mix of specialty stores and tempting restaurants.  It was arranged around a central square, and like The Pearl District in Portland, used to be an industrial center with breweries.

We saw a group of tourists on an organized bicycle tour.  There were also lots of people on rented electric scooters everywhere we went.
There are many representations of Day of the Dead skeletons all over San Antonio.  We saw these in the Pearl.

The Lorraine Bakery was a real find.  We enjoyed our lunch very much and ended with sweets.
