Yesterday was a nice day in Redmond, OR in spite of a few showers.  We got up at 6:00 so Gary could play golf with his old friend, Al Stewart.  They used to work at Floating Point Systems back in the day when Gary fixed computers for a living.

After golf we headed out for a quick lunch in Bend, OR and then to the T Mobile store to change our service from Verizon.  T Mobile was having some great new deal with unlimited data so, of course, we couldn't miss it.  Some people go hiking on their vacations....

After T Mobile and a quick stop at Starbucks we headed back to Redmond.  This is a picture of Three Sisters mountains which we saw on the way.
We went back to the TrailBayser to walk the dogs (Baby seems a bit better today) and then had a lovely dinner cooked by Al's wife, Ann.  She really went all out!  Shrimp cocktail, grilled chicken and asparagus, a special potato salad with artichoke hearts and homemade ice cream with powdered pop rocks which was called Marilyn Monroe's kiss.  Lots of fun!
Today we left mid-morning for Lakeview, OR.  We passed a sign inviting us to the local Rhubarb Festival and traveled the Oregon Outback National Scenic Highway to get here.  There was evidence of many former forest fires along the way, but the areas were recovering.

We went through Paisley, OR and outside the school there was a sign congratulating the class of 2017 and listing the names of all four members.  Ah, life in small town America.

Tonight we are parked at Base Camp RV Park just outside of Lakeview.  To call this park basic would be to compliment it very highly, indeed.  We will only be here one night so we won't unhitch the car and will eat in. The scenery is gorgeous, however.
